Financial Expectations

The financial commitment is as important as our time commitment. We want you to have a realistic understanding of expenses related to a season of mountain bike activities. Team dues can vary from team to team.

Coach Licensing

If you would like to be a coach with the team:

Coach Fees: $63.00 (First year background check + NICA Coach License)

Student Athlete

Team Dues: $125.00-$500.00 depending on the team

- Fort Worth Flyers MTB dues are $175 [$100 after March 9])

NICA Program Fee: $350.00 (Assistance available)
- Registration after February 22, 2026 will be $275.

- Registration after March 9, 2026 will be $225.

Jersey: $60-$100+ (Required for competitors) - Fort Worth Flyers MTB offers a $60.00 discount code in the team store for the first team jersey for each student athlete.

Event Weekends

Land Use Fee (covers Friday-Sunday and includes no-hookup camping) $15.00 per person CASH ONLY

Sunday-only Land Use Fee is $10.00 per person CASH ONLY

Food, travel, and lodging should also be considered. The distance to event weekends can be 90 minutes to several hours. Most teams do not provide transportation. Lodging at places other than the event site, like a hotel or AirBNB, would be additional personal expense.

Event Weekend programs do not typically have fees. (Except for some coach trainings)
